This is a great book for research information but it leaves out the early years of college basketball from its beginnings to the 1940's (some info) Very good book.

I just received this book for Christmas and I have to tell you I am very impressed. This book is chock full of information about everything pertaining to college basketball. Although I did catch a few stat and information errors, the good far outweighs the bad on this book. The great part of the book is the box scores for the NCAA tournament from Sweet 16 to Championship Game for each year. And even the scores for each NIT Tournament game is also available for each year. Another great aspect is that for each year a few games are picked and a caption of information is given. This caption is also given for random tourney games also. The book also covers every Division I team and gives their complete team historical records. I myself am a historian for college basketball and there was many things that I learned that I had no clue about. Like I said I highly recommend this book.
Actually, this book wasn't for us, but for our 24-year-old college basketball fanatic son. He had mentioned wanting it, so we gave it to him for Christmas. He was thrilled and stopped opening gifts to look through it. The detailed current and historical information is perfect for him as his knowledge of the game is incredible and he said now he'll know even more!
The book has a large section cut out of it. Also it wasn't as in depth as I would have liked. It didn't have the schedules and results of the teams.
