Great little book, great story. I saw the premiere musical of this book in Montreal a year ago and it was excellent.
This book is hilarious! If you grew up in Montreal or Quebec and were a Habs fan you will really appreciate it! My son loves this story.
If you remember hockey back when it was a Canadian sport, you'll like this kids tale of French Canada, back when Rocket Richard was THE idol, especially if you understand the great chasm between being a Leafs fan and being a Canadiens fan :-)
I usually give that instead of a card and it is always a big hit... Plus the CD is awesome also...
I don't know if anyone else got the hardcover, but the book I received is incomplete. I bought it as a gift for a friends child and was embarrassed when I got a call saying the book was incomplete.
A classic story that both my niece and nephew (not to mention their mom & dad) loved.
Its a neat kids book,the video is also excellent.
Purchased so my whacky parents could read it as they heard it on the radio as kids, in goofy French Canadian accents, to my nephews and sisters and me. Still a sweet little story and fun storytelling activity.
